Long Beach Blvd parallels the train tracks for quite a ways, and although it's considered an "at grade" crossing, there are lights and signs everywhere.
Had to be a real dummy to NOT see the train coming, -OR- being one of "the only ones", he figured he could get through the crossing....
Not three blocks from where I live, I saw a car T-bone an LRV!. The woman had the same expression one sees on a pigeon...
