Mini wins the Dakar for the 4th straight year

The Dakar is commonly considered one of the toughest rallies on earth over and through dunes, dust, mud and other difficult terrain of some 5,600 miles spanning three countries across South America.

More than just winning, the 5 spot podium was 4 for 5 this year all Mini, and last year was Mini in all 5 spots. Ya gotta respect that level of commitment to winning the race, and putting a lot of cars into the contention

    1. well... that was fine until the religious nuts decided to kill anyone that wasn't in the Allah club. Nobody cares where the race is held, just that they have a race to attend and run in. Even South America has problems, but nothing as bad as the wackos across Africa. The news for the past couple of years has been full of civil wars, kidnappings for ransoms, pirates off the coast of Somali... until African nations get their heads together and decide civilization means more to them than sheltering terrorists and warlords... no one is bothering to do anything there that can't be accomplished somewhere civilized
